TONIK ASSOCIATES IS SHORTLISTED FOR AN SBID INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2024

Tonik Associates is pleased to be among the inspiring global design talent to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards for its entry, Third Space Wimbledon in the Healthcare and Wellness Design UK category.

Rich Tomlin, Tonik’s Head of Innovation and lead designer on Third Space Wimbledon commented:

“Tonik’s expertise in creating elevated experiences within hospitality equipped us with the tools to design Third Space Wimbledon. Understanding the customer, mapping their journey, and implementing luxury down to the finest detail to create a holistic wellness experience is something that we thoroughly enjoyed.”

Evaluated by a panel of distinguished, industry-leading experts for design functionality, innovation, creativity and technical execution, an SBID Award is considered one of the most coveted accolades for design excellence. Success in this GOLD-rated Awards programme demonstrates the highest level of design skill and professional mastery across the interior design profession.

Tonik Associates has designed the luxury health club, Third Space Wimbledon, in London. Transforming 4,000 sqm of disused space in Wimbledon Quarter Shopping Centre, the project seamlessly balances luxury, natural and industrial finishes to create a fitness and wellness sanctuary set back from the busyness of city life. Drawing inspiration from the proximity of the club to a variety of green spaces, and keen to not just portray tennis, we weaved a specific shade of emerald green throughout the design, enhancing the feeling of calm and a connection to nature.

To complete the final stage of judging, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs - accounting for 10% of the overall results! To show your support for Tonik Associates and cast your votes, click here!

The public vote will close on Wednesday 11 September at 5pm (BST).
