The Drumming Snipe

Strategic Consultancy | Concept Development | Architectural Design | Interior Design

A classic example of what we refer to as a re-purposing project. The Drumming Snipe was previously a ‘drinkers pub’ with a different name and very different clientele to that desired by the new owners. The question as to how to reposition the complete offering on a budget was both challenging and interesting at the same time. Our solution turned everything on its head!

From a name designed to alienate one crowd and attract another to every beer brand and the possible future hotel opportunities, we worked with Brucan pubs to develop a  model that would alter life for a whole community.

The arrival experience was relocated from off the road to via the garden, a new feature entrance Orangery, and seating areas set around an outside fireplace built from bricks recycled from a chimney that took up most of the tiny kitchen; located and sized to protect neighbours from customers noise, and delivering potential for 5 guest bedroom suites prepared for fit out under a Phase 2 project.
